Thanks Samantha! It's worked for me too on Pavilion dv6 (3250us)! I hope don't have problem again with! Now I can use my mouse wifi! thanks a lot!

Yep, happened to me after a Windows update. Now, I've shut down auto updates and am trying the "Samantha" reset method.

More cursing to come if that doesn't work. You would hope Intel will get an update to get that bug out.

it is not hp fualt, intel provides the drivers and softwar for your comp and to netgear.

it seems the software and drivers are buggy and unstable. any little change to your comp

such as microsoft crticle updates, it crashes the widi software. my problem is why is it so complicated to

get the software up and running properly. it is a real pain.

I am even more upset than you. I spent 16 hours with HP's lame support only to finally call their corporate offce and raise a stink. That got my computer to HP repair. I took 9 days for it to return but it was working. It worked for a few weeks and then "tada" same old no enabling. I don't know if it's intel or HP but this makes them both look stupid. They should be sending an update to everyone who has this my wifi system that fixes it permanently.

I tried Katherine'ssuggestion but the options link is greyed out too so this doesn't help or work.

Has anyone ever managed to enable the adapter to get pushTV?? It shouldn't be this difficult to enable.

Hi Shuk,

Try doing this:

1) Open the Intel My Wi-Fi Technology program (either through the icon [an earth--with a small x in a circle if it's disconnected] on the lower right of the taskbar or through the Start Menu=>All Programs=>Intel ProSet Wireless Folder=>Intel My Wi-Fi Technology)

2) Once the program has opened, click on the OPTIONS link (in the upper right hand corner)

3) Go to the Power tab (last tab on the right) and make sure the right radio button is selected for your particular operating environment...if you're unsure, just click "Any Power Source" just to be safe!

4) On this same tab, make sure "Automatic Disabling" ISN'T set to 15 minutes (since that's when yours seems to shut off ;-) or just set it to "Never"

If this doesn't fix it, you need to reply with MORE INFORMATION...Like, what type of ROUTER you're using, who is your ISP, and what's included in the REPORT GENERATED BY THE NETWORK DIAGNOSTICS TOOL.
