1. services IASCServiceManager & AppCore - started

2. i restarted server several times and tried to reinstall Multi-Server Manager too - don't help me

3. all network cables attached (i can ping BCM for expl)

4. firewall is disabled

Nothing help me....

Hi all

1. Does Intel Multi-Server Manager work on Windows Server 2008 R2 OS? (sp1 EE)

2. I have installed it already (SR1600UR server) and software cannot detect any agent\BMC ... For expl local host always in in "connecting" state (pic1)

3. Trying autodiscovery but it does nothing! (pic2)

I have got several question about updating process:

1. Should i update all "BIOS, BMC, FRUSDR and ME" to fix my noise issue or will enough to update only SDR?

2. Should i update FRU and SDR or will enough to update only SDR?

3. Is it correct that i should open chassis and look what fans present on the mb (i have got S5520UR)? (there is this point in the Updating FRUSDR (PDF) guide) Or i can answer "yes" on all question about:

Q3: Does the system detect chassis intrusion?
Q4: Does the front panel support a NMI button?
Q5: Is CPU Fan 1 installed?
Q6: Is Memory Fan 1 installed?
Q7: Is System Fan 1 installed?

SR1600UR too noisy

Hi all

Have got two SR1600UR servers - first has been bought half year ago and has too noisy fans... (second one does not have this) It seems like boot speed always work on it...

As far as i understand i should update SDR for it? Or BIOS and SDR and FRU together? Or smth else?

Does "One-Boot Flash Update Utility for Windows" works on Windows Server R2 OS? (cannot see it in "supported OS")

Have looked it and don't find step-by-step instructions how to replace HDD... There are just noteced that i should use hot spare.... nothing more.

I tried to add it to VD about 1 hour and couldn't. Adapter saw new drive on the one of interface and do nothing! No warnings about new drive, no any choise set etc After this i decided to force situation and manualy added it to VD (i didn't remember how was it done exactly but one of the step was bring it online) And RAID was broken. I tried to rebuild this HDD and system totaly hang up! (33% of rebuild was complited)

You said i should add it to hot-swap firstly? But how can i do it?

Anyway, fortunately i disconnected this new hdd from 1 interface and connected it to another one and new rebuild process was started by controller (does it do it automatically?) After rebuild proccess was complited i saw that 2 partiotions on VD was totaly destroed (boot 100Mb and system with OS installed) but my data partition(3) was safe! And so i be able to use my data again (with reinstall OS of course)

2 days "in dance" with this issue and i totally disappointed by this RAID controller... it couldn't do such simple operation...

Have got Raid controller SRCSASLS4I with RAID 5 on 3 HDD. 1 HDD was failed and i replaced it on the same channel new one (exactly same model) In some way controller setup (not right away - there was some steps from my side like move new hdd to virtual drive and bring it online) it and move his state (!!!) to optimal immediatly ... Now os don't boot of course - "OS is missing" Don't undersand what's wrong? How should i replace bad hdd? And why there was no rebuild state?

Totaly disappointed...
