Re: HP 2740p cannot Install Widi software, meet all requirements...

Hey man,

I had the same problem and I met all the requirements to run it but I found that if I downloaded one of the earliest versions of the installer then it would install correctly. I then updated it after it had finished to the latest version.

Hope this helps.

Loss of sound when using WiDi

Hi guys,

I really like your product but I have been having issues with it and was wondering if you could provide me with some help?

When I connect my laptop to my tv it usually runs fine for a short while but then after an indeterminate amount of time the sound either cuts out completely or the sound cuts out in the front three speakers and continues from the rear two and sub-woofer. Sometimes there is crackling or stuttering from the speakers too or low frame rates with the picture. When the sound cuts out the only way to rectify it is to disconnect then reconnect the connection between the laptop and the adapter.

I have windows7 running on a new HP ENVY 15 with all the latest drivers and patches, a D-Link DHD 131 adapter.

I also am living downtown in Vancouver and live in a highrise which is a high traffic zone for WiFi, I'm sure, so could this be the problem or is it something else? If high traffic is the problem can you tell me how to configure my WiFi settings correctly? I have seen other discussions on this but the settings they described are different to those in my adapter settings and the ones which I did alter did not improve performance.

Thanks for your help guys!
