after try I got DESKTOP ver Setup 3.1.29.0.exe . strange ?!

so in another word , nothing works any more !

Hi there ,

one year later , story remein the same .... everything worked good until a couple weeks ago , around may 1st , new windows7 updates ! WiDi STOP working ! Everything done , widi,video,wifi drivers frash,windows and avg firewalls off wIdI services ON , everything recognised , display,adapter,IP,DHCP,IntelWiDiApp connect for sec and show msg : Status: no adapters connected !Please any idea what can be NEW 2012 catch !

can not belive how unperfect is WiDi, all previouse set-ups are untouched,after some windows updates,all stop working , again !

please check my other posts , whole problem was WiFi card , upgrade from N-1030 to N-6230 solve all problems.

old or new drivers and softwares working , just fine !

intel i7 2620M CPU 2.70GHz

intel Centrino Wireless N1030

intel WiDi 2.1.39.0

nVidia GeForce GT 555M 3GB

after 4 hourse with dell tech team , could not connect xps L702x via Netgear TVD2000 adapter , LCD TV confirm 4 digi code , WiDi on laptop same , but finaly pop-up screen "update new software" , simply endless loop back ! Connection seems to be 100% Idiot-Proof , plug 'n' play , but in real is opposit (as usually) . Does anyone can help at least with clue what is problem ? Please,no nonsense questions or suggestions as dell (L)user support team , (do you have CD,did you read manuel , do you know how to download drivers,is it pluged properly etc.) .

Brand new WiDi set of drivers n softwares as dell_preloaded drivers n softwares can not transfer picture to tv screen bottom line , is it issue with drivers or compatibillity ....

i could not simply give-up!

my xps had intel N-1030 WiFi Card , yesterday I replaced with Intel N-6230 , turn XPS On , turn PTV2000 on , and ....

no question at all , everything conecct in less than 2 min , I downgrade to original dell/intel drivers , early so two pop-ups for upgrade XPS & adapter , all working simply perfect !

That is final answer and closing of my problem .

Dell XPS L702x with intel N-6230 WiFi card support WiDi technology via netgear PVT2000 , thanks again to all , my issue was malfuncion wireless card not drivers or adapter .

My ex WiFi Card (N-1030) passed all tests as OK , but at other placese incl. other language groups ( german,croatian,duch...)people report same behavior as my card , "without reason drop WiFi conecction" ! It took me a little to find how to pull it , but not big deal ,i will pass you link to very graphic explanation if you have same XPS how-to :

I hope it will help to users as Intel Guys to improve checking software for owne components !
