Yes your PC reads it as if had 2 cores installed but in reality you only have one. pentium 4 3.0ghz HT(1core) will never be as fast as dual-core 3.0ghz (2cores). (but it is not dual core). Is it any good? it depends, did it come out of a working pc? as far as GOOD in general goes... i would NOT build a computer around this CPU. specially after having to buy a really good cooling system, pentium 4's on lga775 tend to run HOT!
