Well don't bother downloading the latest version......it is screwed up also..............HOW old is this thread?.......lol.........z

What does it mean if a SSD 311 Drive goes SO BAD That

Windows actually refuses to read or even recognize it anymore........

And there's a file that shows up on the drive: --=={Intel_Trim_File_0}==--.bin

And the latest version of the so called 'Toolbox' throws up a 32 error.......

And when you go to the Warranty center here in intel land you get this error:

Error 404: Initialization of one or more services failed.

Does it mean that Intel is going titus UP?

Yes ...using LAG version: 3.1.2

All previous versions had this error also

What good it this toolbox if it won't run.

Also had SSD311 go titus up..........Found a trim file on the disk.......God knows where that came from

What's with this new corporate ARROGANCE?

Existing SSD Toolbox v 3.02?

ERROR 32........SO

Downloaded and installed latest v 3.1.2

It went Merrily on it's way and installed on my main partition.

WTF........NO CHOICE?????

I do not LIKE installing stuff on the main partition..........

I have ANOTHER partition where I install stuff.

WHY is intel FORCING us to install WHERE intel WANTS to install???????????

I thought intel was INTELLIGENT?.......lol........I mean.......that's the name right?

I thought intel was run by PROGRAMMERS and TECH PEOPLE

So WHERE do they get this ARROGANCE???????????????????????

Thanks for the response..........And if I HAD another Mobo SATA port, I would of course use it........Seems kind of silly that Sandra can read the smart data, but Intel can't..........lol..........And fwiw, saying 'Well, that's the way it is' is pretty useless.....so CHANGE IT...........lol.........none of this stuff is written in marble last time I checked..............z

PS. Does this mean the Maintenance functions will also NOT work?????????????????????????

Got a 311 hooked to a PCI-E Sata controller...........System Sandra sees Smart Data.....but the toolbox does not.....
