Here are my 5:

Enterprise employee productivity - How IT enables company employees to be more effective and efficient
Core business enablement and support - How IT supports profit groups to compete, innovate, and succeed.
C-level peer satisfaction rating - IT is a support organization, therefore customer satisfaction is key, both in determining what is good and areas to improve
IT Spending efficiency - IT is not a profit center. Spending impacts the bottom line and must always be ruthlessly controlled
Information Management - How well does IT provide and sustain key data services (accessibility, security, disaster recovery, technical support, collaboration, etc.)

Convenience many times comes at a price. These vanity and shortened URL’s are more convenient but make it easier to hide ways to send unsuspecting users to a place they don’t want to go or to download malicious code. But shortened URL’s are not the only way to victimize Internet users. Long past are the days by which we could confidently deduce if a URL was malicious just by inspecting the link. From a security perspective, it comes down to trust of who is sending you the link in the first place. If I don’t trust the author/sender, then I will not likely click on any URL they serve up, download any file they provide, or run any program they recommend. So in the end, to answer your question, I like them when somebody I trust uses them and am indifferent when somebody I don’t trust employs them, as I won’t click the link anyways.
