Unfortunately Intel Support suspected my CPU for a possible cause.

DG43NB BIOS after 0096 does not work with Vista64

All newer BIOS versions after 0096 cause my board to boot within more than 3 minutes. Once logged in the system is not responsive, however the HDD is working non stop. Returning to version 0096 resets the system to normal operation.

On the same PC I'm using a Vista32 installation which is fine with all versions. No hardware connected except USB peripherals. Even disconnecting everything during boot progress doesn't change anything.

Memory runs at 266 mhz, however is 400 mhz type.

Has anyone an idea what's wrong after BIOS 0096?
