Cloud at IDF – Day One

Posted by Megan McQueen in Cloud Builder Forum on Sep 13, 2010 11:50:45 PM

Day one of IDF 2010 is in the history books and the cloud was well-represented throughout the event.

The first cloud session of the day, led by Intel’s Rekha Raghu and Jake Smith along with Jason Downing of Citrix, was so popular that an overflow room was required. The group provided a informative overview of the Intel Cloud Builder program to a rapt audience.

In the afternoon, Josh Hilliker, Jason Davidson, and Heung-for Cheng from Intel along with Corporate Technologies' Matt Clarin, provided more detail on the Hybrid Cloud technology and pilot program, and Intel’s David Jenkins and Todd Christ provided insight into configuring Intel Intelligent Power Node Manager for cloud power management.

The day concluded with dueling cloud sessions – a panel of end-users talking about their challenges and successes with cloud technology; and another winning session from Rekha Raghu about the practical steps to accelerate the transformation to the cloud.

Missed any of today’s sessions? Downloadable versions of the slides will be available at intel.com/go/idfsessions starting tonight.

Stay tuned for day two highlights…
